Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

      • Action lines. This is where the story is shown. It can only be what the audience see’s happening, the actions that are taking place Now! Not what the character thinks and feels.
      • Four throughlines. It’s mission critical to follow the four throughlines for effective clear impactful storytelling.
      • Character development. Create memorable characters through the use of characterization.
      • Scene development. Create powerful memorable scenes that engage.
      • Dialogue. Less is more, to much dialogue kills. What are you trying to say? Does the dialogue fit the character and the ene?
      • Plot. Know your plot. There are only seven. Which is yours? Start your story with the plot in mind.
      • Genre. Only seven story premises but many genre’s. What’s your genre? Is your style of writing reflective of your choice of genre?
      • Pacing. Learn how to tell your story as quickly efficiently and effectively as possible.
      • Structure. Move from the first second and third act seamlessly.
      • Tone. Give your story its own feel and sound.
      • Logline. Write and pitch your feature film in three sentences or less.
      • Synopsis. Write and tell your entire story in four hundred and fifty words or less
