What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

EXT. PARKVILLE – MISSOURI – DAY

Moe, phone to his ear, leans back against a fence. Tony, next to, Moe, head down works his phone. Deuce, next to Tony, phone to his ear, rests an elbow on the fence, stares blankly. Tony turns to, Moe.

TONY

“And no, anchovies!”

MOE

“Yes, pepperoni! Also, sausage, bacon, ham, mushrooms, hamburger, peppers, onions and, anchovies.”

Tony flashes, Moe a dissatisfied look.

TONY

“I hate, you!”

Moe puts his cell-phone in his pocket, turns to Tony.

MOE

“It’s protein! You need protein. Look at you!”

Tony appears concerned.

TONY

“Really?”

Deuce, appears impatient, puts his cell-phone in his pocket.

DEUCE

“Guys, I’m starving! Lets go!”

INT. PIZZA SHOP – PARKVILLE – MISSOURI – DAY

Moe, Deuce and Tony sit in a corner booth, each with a slice of pizza in hand they eat heartily.

Tony, pizza in hand, turns to Moe, chews with his mouth open.

TONY

“Moe! If I won a million bucks?! I’d give you half!”

He takes a massive bite of pizza, chews, nods.

TONY

“For real.”

Deuce, pizza in hand, sits back, looks at Tony, appears cynical.

DEUCE

“What would you do with the other half million bucks?”

Tony turns to Deuce, smirks.

TONY

“I might lend you twenty bucks? Get my law degree, I don’t know?”

DEUCE

“You’re an ass!”

EXT. BUS TERMINAL – WITCHITA – MISSOURI – DAY

O.S.(off screen) sound; Diesel engine idles. Horn-honks.

Four buses parked at the front of the terminal.

PASSENGER WAITING AREA

Deuce, sits on a metal bench, wears a hoody, appears to be in thought. He turns to, Moe and Tony.

DEUCE

“My parents are losing it. The cops are looking for me and my little sister’s going nuts.”

Tony turns to Moe.

TONY

“My Justin Bieber concert’s this weekend!”

He appears stressed.

TONY

“Sorry.”

Moe looks at, Tony and Deuce, reveals a melancholy smile.

MOE

“Thanks for coming this far with me.”

He bow’s his head.

LATER

Moe sits on a bench, stares away.

He watches Tony and Deuce board the bus.

BUS TERMINAL EXIT

O.S.(off screen) sound; Diesel engine accelerates.

Bus takes a right turn at the traffic lights.

V.O. TONY; “By the way, Moe, I did like the anchovies!”

V.O. DEUCE; “I’ll call you when I get home, brother!”

Moe watches the bus exit. His eyes fill with tears. He lowers his head in sorrow.

MOE

“Fuck!”

INT. AIRPLANE (flying) – SKY – CYPRUS – DAY

SIXTEEN HOURS LATER

O.S. (off screen) sound; Air whistles through ventilation.

Moe, asleep in his seat, rest his head on his arm.

ACROSS THE ISLE

ANNA, attractive, late twenties, sits next to the window, focused on the Cellphone in her hand.

ACROSS THE ISLE

Moe sits up, turns to his left. He see’s, Anna across the isle. He reveals a smile.

V.O.(voice over) PILOT(man voice) “We’re flying at five thousand feet with clear skies. It’s 95 degrees in Cyprus. Seats upright, fasten your seatbelts. We will be landing at terminal, B.”

Anna looks out her window.

V.O.(voice over) MOE; “Hi there!”

Anna turns, see’s Moe, smiles.

ANNA

“Hi! Where’s your, Mom?”

Moe’s expression changes. He appears contemplative, turns to his window, looks outside.

He turns back to, Anna.

MOE

“I’m not sure.. But it shouldn’t be to hard to find her. She’s a, hooker.”

Anna, cellphone in hand, studies Moe, smiles pleasantly.

ANNA

“I try not to criticize what I don’t understand. “

EXT. RUNWAY – CYPRUS AIRLINES – CYPRUS – DAY

Airplane rolls down the runway.

O.S. (off screen ) Sound; Jet engine decelerates.

V.O.(voice over) MOE; “I was told she followed my supposed real father here about thirteen years ago?”

INT. BAGGAGE CLAIM – CYPRUS AIRPORT – CYPRUS – DAY

Moe grabs a black suitcase from the luggage carousel, sets it down next to, Anna. She looks at him wantonly.

ANNA

“Come here.”

She caresses Moe’s face, gives him a long passionate kiss on the mouth. She steps back, admires him.

ANNA

“You remind me of my first. Good luck finding your mother.”

She exits.

EXT. LIMASSOL – CYPRUS – DAY

Luxury hotels line the beach coast-line.

V.O. (voice over) DEUCE; “Tony sold his, Justin Bieber tickets!”

BEACH

O.S.(off screen) sound; “Distant voices of chatter, children laugh, seagulls, huoh-huoh.”

People in bathing suits, children play in the sand, two guys toss a Frisbee.

V.O.(voice over) TONY; “And just like that! We’re here!”

SHORELINE

Tony, Moe and Deuce stand near the water. Moe, appears reflective, looks down.

MOE

“I Just can’t believe you guys are here! You are both so awesome!”

Three attractive teenage girls walk past, Moe, Deuce and Tony. They turn, look back, smile..

V.O (voice over) MOE; “OMG! Twelve o’clock! They’re staring at us!

Deuce, Moe and Tony turn, look at the girls.

MOE

“One on the left is mine.”

DEUCE

“I got the white bikini!”

Moe turns right. He observes Tony.

Who’s eyes are locked on a young man who smiles at him as he approaches the water.

Dark haired guy, eyes locked on Tony, smiles, walks towards the water.

Moe turns further around to his right.

He see’s a Tiki-bar.

TIKI BAR

Patrons sit around the bar, drink, eat food, laugh, talk.

V.O.(voice over) MOE; “Lets get a drink.”

INT. TIKI BAR – BEACH – NIGHT

THREE HOURS LATER

Moe and Deuce stand by the bar. They talk with beautiful young girls. Moe smiles, nods.

MOE

“Where’s the nearest whore house?! I’m looking for my mother!”

BAR

Tony sits alone with another teenage boy.

EXT. BEACH – CYPRUS – NIGHT

Moe, Deuce and Tony in knee-high water run along the beach.

TONY

“I made a new friend. I really like him!”

DEUCE

“We probably could have banged those chicks!”

MOE

“They said I’ll find the Whorehouse on the corner of, Journey and Destiny!”
