Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

INT. TRAIN (moving) LAS-VEGAS NEVADA – DAY

Jack sits, appears serene. He turns to his left, looks out the window.

EXT. FREMONT STREET – LAS VEGAS NEVADA – DAY

O.S.(off screen) Video Game Song; “Sins of the father.”

Thousands of people walk in all directions. Bright neon signs pop with messages fill the entire area.

FREMONT STREET

O.S.(off screen) Video Game Song; “Carry on.”

Jack see’s a neon multicolored illumined city full of people that appear to be in a frenzied state.

O.S. (off screen) HOOKER; “Hey little man! Looking for a date?!”

Jack turns, looks over his shoulder.

Two attractive women in bikini’s look at Jack. They laugh out loud.

Jack gasps, covers his mouth, appears embarrassed.

He turns away. Circus like characters on stilts dance around him and laugh.

Jack spins away. Black man in a woman’s bikini with a pink wig laughs gregariously. A short man fondles him.

Jack stops, steps back, appears startled.

OUTDOOR MALL

Jack turns, walks into a crowd of people, disappears.

EXT. FREMONT STREET – LAS VEGAS NEVADA – NIGHT

O.S.(off screen) Sound; Horns honk, breaks sequel, distant siren.

Bumper-to-bumper traffic in both directions moves slowly.

EXT. SIDE STREET – LAS VEGAS – NIGHT

Jack walks down a dark side street.

He looks up, sees hotel directly ahead. “Venetian,” sign illumines up at the top right of the hotel.

INT. FOYER BATHROOM – VENETIAN HOTEL – LAS VEGAS – NIGHT

Jack stands in front of the mirror, washes his face. He appears tired.

HOTEL LOBBY

CLERK, 30’s, tall, thin, appears impatient, stands opposite side of the counter. He looks down at Jack.

CLERK

“No parents! No lodging! Ay?”

Jack lowers his head. He looks up at the clerk threw a shock of hair, appears sad. He exits.

EXT. SIDEWALK – VENETIAN HOTEL – LAS VEGAS – NIGHT

Jack stands on the sidewalk, head down, appears disappointed.

EXT. PARK – LAS VEGAS NEVADA – DAY

O.S.(off screen) Sound; JACK; Light snore.

Jack lays asleep on a park-bench.

JUST THEN

V.O.(voice over) MIA; “Fourteen hours and fifty four minutes!”

Mia stands over Jack. She removes her sunglasses, looks down at him on the park-bench.

MIA

“That’s how long it took to get here!”

Jack sits up, rubs his face with his hands, runs his fingers through his hair. He looks up at Mia.

JACK

“Mia?”

LATER

Jack and Mia back-to-back on the park bench play video games on their cellphones. They look happy.

Mia presses keys on her cellphone.

MIA’S CELLPHONE SCREEN

O.S. (off screen) Video Came Music; “Call of Duty.”

MIA, ON PARK-BENCH

She taps her cellphone screen, takes a deep breath, looks up. She appears happy.

Mia and Jack turn, rest their heads on the bench. They stare off, appear distant.

JACK

“I’m glad you’re here.”

MIA

“Me too”

She turns to Jack.

MIA

“Are you ready?”

Jack appears focused, he turns to, Mia.

JACK

“Yeah, I am. Lets go.”
