What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

EXT. SALT-FLATS – SALAR-DE-UYUNI – AFRICA – NIGHT

O.S.(off screen) Sound of Lebron snoring.

Lebron, mouth-wide-open, lays on his back, snores, sleeps on a cot under the canopy covered by a black-blanket. A small table with several empty water bottles just outside the canopy next to Lebrons cot.

NEAR THE CANOPY

John, lays on a cot, a black-blanket covers him up to his chest. He looks at the stars in the sky. Morgan, lays on a cot near John’s under a black-blanket, looks up at the night-sky filled with stars.

Morgan rolls on to her side, looks over under the canopy. Lebron, asleep, mouth open, snores.

Lee stands outside the canopy next to the small-table by Lebron. She reaches into a black-backpack by her feet, extracts two-clips with bullets, puts them on the small-table outside the canopy, reaches to her back-pocket, reveals the chrome-pistol. She takes one of the clips, slides it into the pistol handle, clicks it. sets it down on the table. She grabs the black-backpack, turns, walks towards the Hummer around to the drivers-side, opens the drivers door.

Interior light of the Hummer illumines. Lee opens the drivers door, gets in.

Morgan turns to John, reaches over, nudges him. John turns to Morgan with a questioning look.

Morgan puts a finger to her lips, gives John the quite sign. She turns, points to the chrome-pistol on the table. John sees the chrome-pistol on the table. He looks over to his right. Lebron sleeps on his back, snores. He looks at the Hummer, the interior light on, Lee behind the wheel, she appears focused.

John peels the blanket off, exits the cot, crouches low to the ground, reaches the small-table with the chrome-pistol, grabs hold of it, turns to the Hummer. Lee inside behind the wheel, looks down, focused.

Morgan, wide-eyed under the blanket watches.

John, chrome-pistol in hand, aimed at the Hummer stands outside the canopy.

Hummer interior-light goes out. Lee exits the drivers-door, walks around the Hummer towards the canopy and table. She looks down at the small-table, several empty water-bottles. She looks up.

John, stands by the front of the Hummer, pistol aimed at Lee’s head. Her right eye illumines bright blue, green-digital code scrolls.

John pulls the trigger.

O.S.(off screen) Single gun-shot.

Lee’s head explodes, splatters. Blue light, sparks, flash and fly in all directions. Lee drops to the ground dead, headless. A puff of smoke billows from Lee’s headless body.

INT. HUMMER (parked) SALT-FLATS – SALAR-DE-UYUNI – AFRICA – NIGHT

John sits in the drivers seat behind the wheel. Morgan sits to his right in the passenger seat. Lebron sits in the backseat passenger side. John turns to Morgan. She reaches over to Johns hand, squeezes it, leans over, kisses his cheek. John appears taken aback, reveals a warm smile. He turns to Lebron in the backseat,.

JOHN

“You screw with us…..I will kill you.”
