What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

EXT. COASTLINE – SOUTH AFRICA – AFRICA – DAY #scriptdickcom

Morgan stands by the coastline, looks out at the ocean. She appears cautious, guarded.

Her right eye flashes digital beams of blue-light, her pupil rotates right, then left, pulses light.

She turns, runs off into a dark forest.

EXT. MOUNTAINS – MONTANA – UNITED STATES – DAY

John, Tony and Libby stand on a mountainside trail. They look out at to the vast expanse. John and Tony, yell out into the open air.

JOHN & TONY

“Morgan!!! Morgan!!! Morgan!!!”

Libby observes John and Tony shout to the open sky. She barks.

LIBBY

“Bark! Bark! Bark!”

John reaches around to the small of his back, grabs the revolver. He turns to Tony who observes him.

JOHN

“Sound travels a long way in the mountains.”

He gets down on a knee next to Tony, looks at him.

JOHN

“You ever shoot a gun?”

Tony shakes his head no.

JOHN

“Would you like to try?”

Tony’s eyes widen. He nods.

John, down on a knee behind Tony. He takes Tony’s right hand, puts it into the palm of his own hand. He directs the pistol in Tony’s hand to the open sky above the valley below. John and Tony pull the trigger three times.

O.S. (off screen) 3 loud echoing gun shots. “BOOM!….BOOM!…..BOOM!”

Tony stands, his eyes opened wide, he looks astonished.

TONY

“I just shot a gun three times!”

He jumps up and down several times. Libby prances next to Tony, jumps with him.

John stands, tucks the pistol into the small of his back pants.

JOHN

“You did good.”

He removes his chrome sunglasses, sets them on a rock in direct sunlight. He turns to Tony

JOHN

“Okay, lets try this.”

Light beams reflect off of Johns sunglasses, they bounce back out into the universe.

Tony looks up at John, gives him a questioning look. John looks at Tony, appears confused.

JOHN

“What?”

TONY

“My mom said, I should always pray and ask for help.”

John studies Tony for a moment, appears reflective.

JOHN

“Would you mind showing me how?”

Tony looks up at John.

TONY

“First you have to get on your knees.”

John and Tony get down on their knees. Libby sits next to them, observes.

LIBBY

“Bark.”

John down on his knees in front of Tony who is also on his knees.

TONY

“Now close your eyes and put both your hands together, and don’t peek.”

John and Tony close their eyes, put their own hands together.

JOHN

“Now what?”

TONY

“Dear, God. Please help us find Morgan soon and please don’t let hungry animals hurt her. Thank you. (pause) Your turn. You say it.”

JOHN

“Dear, God. Help us find Morgan soon and keep her safe.”

V.O. (voice over) JOHN; “And please let her know we lover her.”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “I will find you.”

EXT. COASTLINE – SOUTH AFRICA – AFRICA – DAY

EXT. MOUNTAIN – SOUTH AFRICA – AFRICA – DAY

Morgan stands on a mountain trail.

She looks down below a dried up river.

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “Let her know we, I love her.”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “That she would feel my love.”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “That, You would calm her storm.”

V.O. (voice over) JOHN; “That she would find the strength and courage to preserver.”

JOHN V.O. (voice over) “And please let her know that I love her.”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “And that I am coming for her.”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “I will rescue you my love.”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “May Your guiding Light shine on her.”

V.O. (voice over) JOHN; “And give me the ability to find my enemies!”

V.O.(voice over)JOHN; “To deliver justice and restore the earth!”

V.O. JOHN; “And to completely annihilate them!”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “All of them.”
