What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

INT. HUMMER (parked) SALT-FLATS – SALAR-DE-UYUNI – AFRICA – NIGHT

Lebron, backseat, passenger-side, looks at John and Morgan up front. They both look out the drivers-side-window. Lebron, studies them, turns, looks out his side-window.

EXT. SALT-FLATS – SALAR-DE-UYUNI – AFRICA – NIGHT

Emerged-black-pyramid peak is tip-to-tip with center-upside-down-pyramid, suspended in the sky. Blue light beams-out in all directions.

Hundreds of black self operated bulldozers, blades down, side-by-side, in rows of ten, plow the salt from the salt-flats onto a huge conveyor-belt with massive-mounds of salt. Conveyor-belt moves forward into a large square-opening at the base of emerged-black-pyramid.

Upside-down, black-pyramid point-to-point with emerged-black-pyramid gives off a brilliant-blue-flash of light. Up-side-down-pyramid rotates to an upright position. It elevates away from pyramids to its left and right, vanishes.

INT. HUMMER (parked) SALT-FLATS – SALAR-DE-UYUNI – AFRICA – NIGHT

Lebron turns to John and Morgan up in the front seat. They both look out Johns drivers side window.

LEBRON

And, “I’m screwing with you?!”

John and Morgan both turn around, face Lebron with questioning confusing look.

MORGAN

“They want our salt?”

John looks away, appears to be in thought, turns to Morgan, then Lebron.

JOHN

“Chloride ions, Sodium, nerve and muscle function, regulation of fluids in the body….., electrolytes, blood pH and pressure. That’s all a function of salt.

Lebron looks at Morgan, reveals a subtle smile, turns to John with an expressionless look.

LEBRON

“Ocean’s next.”

He looks away, appears to be in thought, turns to John and Morgan.

LEBRON

“I guess, ya-all are fucked.”

John appears angry, stares at Lebron. He turns to Morgan who appears anxious.

JOHN

“We gotta get out of here. Now.”

He presses a black-ignition-button on the dashboard next to the radio.

OS. (off screen) Sound of Hummer engine starting.

He turns to Morgan.

Morgan looks at the Blue, Red and Orange buttons on the dashboard. She presses the Blue button.

O.S (off screen) sound of Jet-engine roars to life.

Lebtron leans back against his seat, braces himself, appears nervous.

EXT. SALT-FLATS – SALAR-DE-UYUNI – AFRICA – NIGHT

OS (off screen) Sound of high-revving jet-engine

Jet-engine mounted in rear compartment of Hummer, (hatch open) shoots flames. Wings emerge from the left-and-right side of the roof-line, they extend out wide.

OS (off screen) sound of an accelerating jet-engine.

Massive flames shoot-out from the Jet-engine. Hummer moves forward quickly, lifts off the salt-flat surface, slingshots into the sky, disappears.
