What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

INT. CHURCH – CONFESSIONAL BOOTH – CERVINIA ITALY – ALPS – DAY

John rips open the confessional-screen, puts the gun to Father Andrew’s head who morphs into a gypsy priest, then to a clown priest.

John blows Father Andrews clown head clean off. Electrical sparks shoot out from the neck of Father Andrew.

Father Andrew’s body morphs into a digital display, disappears.

FRONT OF CHURCH NEAR ALTER

Morgan, on her knees at the alter in front of a large crucifix of Jesus up on the wall. She looks up at, Jesus.

Morgan appears humble. She closes her eyes, bows her head.

O.S. (off screen) JOHN, “Hey.”

Morgan turns to the front pew. John sits by the corner isle, legs crossed, appears to admire Morgan. She steps down approaches John, sits next to him on the pew.

MORGAN

“They’re afraid of us.”

JOHN

“Afraid of us?”

Morgan nods.

MORGAN

“All acts of aggression are signs of fear. You know that.”

John smirks to himself, nods.

JOHN

“That could mean than, that if we reset.”

He points to himself and Morgan.

JOHN

“Ourselves, a mental academic emotional spiritual tweak if you will. Maybe we stand a chance.”

Morgan nods in agreement.
