What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

EXT. VILLAGE CHURCH – CERVINIA ITALY – ALPS – DAY

O.S. (off screen) JOHN “I think I left my gun in the church.”

John, Morgan and Libby stand next to the Hummer in front of the church.

O.S.(off screen) BOY, “Help.”

John and Morgan turn to the church steps. Libby barks, wags her tail.

TONY, ten year old boy, looks dirty, European, appears tired, dressed shabby.

Morgans eyes widen, she smiles, gets down on one knee. Libby approaches Tony, wags her tail, playfully jumps up on him, licks his face. John focuses on Tony, appears suspicious.

MORGAN

“Hi there. My name is Morgan.”

She turns to John, back to Tony, smiles at him.

MORGAN

“He’s safe, I’m safe. We won’t harm you. What is your name?”

TONY

“Tony. I can not find my family.”

He cries. Morgan hugs him. He rests his head on her shoulder.

She turns to John.

MORGAN

“He’s coming with us.”
