What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

EXT, SWAMP – FISHING CAMP – BAYOU – LOUISIANA – DAY

Four UFO’S emerge from the swamp, they hover up to the mother-ship nearby.

SWAMP

John, waist-high in swamp-water, lurches up at the UFO’S.

JOHN

“Pussy’s!

SHORELINE

Tony looks up in awe at the Mother-ship and four UFO’s.

Libby, next to Tony growls, barks aggressively.

LIBBY

“Bark, bark, bark!”

SKY – OVER BAYOU’S – SWAMP

Mother-ship hovers. beams down bright light.

Alien UFO hovering over great masses of people, abduction, invasion.

UFO’S and Mother-ship, vanish.

LATER

CAMPFIRE – FISHING CAMP

John stares into the fire. He appears deep in thought.

JOHNS VISION OF MORGAN

He turns to Tony.

JOHN

“They want the Deed to this planet, period! And the planet too, obviously.”

Tony looks at John, studies him a moment.

TONY

“And all you want is, Morgan.”

John turns to Tony, smirks, nods.

JOHN

“Ya, you’re right.”

Tony spins around to John. He appears exuberant, throws his arms up.

TONY

“Then why don’t you just trade for her!”

INT. HUMMER (PARKED) BAYOU – LOUISIANA – DAY

O.S.(off screen) Hummer engine idles.

John sits in the drivers seat, turns to Tony in the passenger seat.

JOHN

“I gotta tell ya, that was a brilliant idea!”

O.S.(off screen) Bark, bark.

Tony in the front passenger seat, turns to Libby who sits in the backseat. He turns to John,

TONY

“I trade stuff all the time.”

John appears hopeful, he smiles, turns to Tony.

JOHN

“Now we just have to find them, and make the deal.”

He looks straight ahead, leans forward, presses a button on the dashboard.

O.S.(off screen) Jet engine starts, revs high.

He appears deep in thought, has a far away look.

JOHN

“Bastards.”

He turns to Tony.

JOHN

“Hang on, buddy!”

EXT. SKY – BAYOU – LOUISIANA – DAY

O.S.(off screen) sound of jet engine in the sky.

Hummer shoots straight up.

HUMMER – WARP-SPEED

O.S. (off screen) sound of sonic-boom.

Hummer vanishes…..

INT. HUMMER (flying) SOMEWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE – DAY

John sits in the drivers seat, drives, both hands on the wheel, looks straight ahead. Tony sits in the front passenger seat, he turns to John.

TONY

“How are you gonna find them?”

John lays his head back against the head rest, stares ahead at a dark multi colored universe.

JOHN

“I’m counting on them finding us.”

He drives, looks ahead through the windshield, eight planets, side-by-side.

JOHN

“Lets go to the first one on the left. If she’s not there, we’ll work our way down the line to other’s til we find her.”

He goes left, fly’s towards darkness.

The universe morphs into psychedelic colors.

Like bright gems and precious stones over black velvet.

The first planet on the left illumines yellow and purple as they approach.

Universe morphs into a haze of specks of light.

Universe morphs into a dark haze.

JUST THEN

John see’s universe like a veil of split light.

John drives both hands on the wheel, looks down.

Galactic Alien City appears below the split lights.

Space stations above planet.

John drives, looks over to his right at the massive alien structure. He takes a right turn.

EXT. ALIEN STATION / CITY – UNIVERSE – DAY

Alien walks on what appears to be an alien city sidewalk.

Futuristic city floating on water. This is entirely 3D generated image.

ALIEN ROOF-TOP

Hummer, parked.

V.O. (voice over) JOHN; “You and Libby wait here. Keep the doors locked.”

V.O. (voice over) TONY; “You have the Deed?”

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “Check.”

V.O.(voice over) LIBBY; “Bark, bark.”

O.S.(off screen) Sound of Hummer door open and close.

O.S.(off screen) JOHN; “I’ll be back, with her.”
