What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

EXT. ATLANTIC OCEAN FLOOR – EARTH – DAY

John, Morgan, Tony and Libby exit the Hummer. John looks out to his right. A ship is stuck on land in an ocean drained of its water.

He turns, looks out to his left.

Two ocean-vessels on dry land.

Morgan and Tony look out at the vast dried-up ocean floor.

O.S. (off screen) Libby growls, barks twice, growls.

John, Morgan and Tony turn to Libby.

Libby stops, focuses out at the vast dried-up ocean floor. John, Morgan and Tony turn, look out at the vast dried-up ocean floor.

Ancient looking monsters in the distance.

O.S.(off screen) Ear piercing monstrous growling scream.

JUST THEN

Hundreds of UFO’s hover in the sky.

UFO’s assemble in the Tower of Dome.

V.O.(voice over) JOHN; “They’ve stripped our precious planet of the surface salt minerals. Now the’re draining our oceans. Our people are gone. Where, how and who are questions left unanswered.”

INT. HUMMER (MOVING) ATLANTIC OCEAN FLOOR – EARTH – DAY

John, both hands on the wheel, appears focused, tense, looks ahead at a dry ocean desert-like floor, races away chased by a UFO.

JOHN

“Hang on gang, this could get bumpy!”

EXT. ATLANTIC OCEAN FLOOR – EARTH – DAY

Hummer races across Atlantic ocean dried-up floor chased by UFO.

EXT. ATLANTIC FLOOR – ROUGH-TERRAIN – DAY

Hummer goes up a mud covered hillside. Four wheels spin to a blur, mud flies in all directions.

Hummer crawls through a riverbed of mud-filed water up to its bumpers.

INT. LIVING-ROOM – HOUSE ON ATLANTIC COASTLINE – NIGHT

John, Morgan, Tony and Libby sit expressionlessly by a lite-fireplace. They appear tired. John turns to Morgan.

JOHN

“Survival’s all we can do for now.”

John and Morgan turn to one another, express intimate looks.

O.S.(off screen) loud vibrating hum fills the air.

Libby picks her head up, looks around the room, barks. John and Morgan look around the room. Tony looks up, turns to John.

TONY

“What’s that sound?”

He covers his ears, appears scared. Libby growls, barks.

Libby runs out the front door. Tony gets up, Morgan grabs hold of his arm.

MORGAN

“You stay right here!”

John puts his hand on Morgans shoulder, looks at her.

JOHN

“I’ll get her. Stay with, Tony.”

John and Morgan turn, look out the window. A UFO hovers close to the ground near the house.

John turns to Morgan.

JOHN

“Cover me.”

EXT. FRONT YARD – ATLANTIC COASTLINE – EARTH – NIGHT

John shields his eyes from a brilliant light, stands in the center of the light. He looks up, the UFO hovering just above him.

JOHN

“I’m not afraid!”

A multi-colored funnel of light descends from the UFO, cover John.

A brilliant Matrix like object appears above him.

V.O.(voice over) Female, soft, authoritative. “You’re people have been weighed on the scales and found insufficient.”

John appears angry, impatient. He reveals his gun, aims it at the UFO.

JOHN

“You killed our people! You’ve rapped our planet! You’re gonna tell me I’ve been found insufficient! Well, Piss off!!”

He pulls the trigger.

O.S.(off screen) “Ba-Boom!!!!” Echoe of gun blast.
