What I do!

Mario Martin’s love for storytelling originated as a young boy when he felt inspired to tell stories through writing. At eighteen he shot his first film, “Checkmate.” That was the birthing of his passion for film-making and screenwriting.

Early on he honed his craft at the Maine Media Workshops and Boston Film & Video Foundation. Mario has attended many screenwriting boot-camps, worked with multiple coverage companies and many screenwriters.

The Journey Begins

April 13, 2019

Thanks for joining me!

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

That’s what I’m hoping for, “Good Company” as we embark on this journey of discovery in the magnificent world of writing/storytelling. We will discuss the movie that you or I want to create.

We’ll discuss how to get it out of our head and on to the page.
We’ll create irresistible engaging characters.
We’ll tap deep into our imagination, individually and collaboratively.
We’ll discuss and write about, “screenwriting,” how it translates to film.

We are gonna have fun. We’ll cover a lot of ground. We’ll explore, discover, and together experience the wonder and newness of creating story. Wonders that live on forever.

Sincerely, Mario Martin

Hi, Renee. Love the word, “synergy.” It’s so true this is why I’m a fan of collaboration. I’m convinced from having lived on this planet now for sixty years that storytelling is paramount not only to the arts but the advancement of society at every level. In my opinion, there is no better way to communicate with the masses than storytelling. Yes, “second set of eyes,” is key. Great job on your comedy, “K-connection.” I really like it a lot and believe you’re on to something big that is commercially viable. Talk soon, thanks for everything. You are awesome.
